The Child Care Resource Center is a community based organization that with your support can create solutions for a variety of employees child care needs.

  • Assist new and existing child care programs in creating additional infant/toddler child care spaces
  • Work with school systems and community agencies to create additional school age child care programs before and after school and during school holidays
  • Develop a network of child care available for mildly ill children
  • Directly assist employees in locating child care that meets their work schedule
  • Improve the quality of child care available by offering child care providers specialized training

The Child Care Resource Center can provide TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:

START UP and EXPANSION: Information on Supply/Demand, zoning, building regulations, licensing, space design and current funding resources.

IMPROVEMENT: Information on space design, curriculum, staffing, and current funding resources.

Ohio Child Care Tax Credits

As a result of legislation enacted last year, employers in Ohio are eligible to receive tax credits for offering a variety of child care options for employees.

Under the new child care incentives, an employer may receive:

50% tax credit for (up to $100,000 per year) expenses related to start-up of a licensed child care center on the premises of the work site.

50% tax credit for payments to child care center utilized by employees

50% tax credit for qualifying reimbursements made to employees for expenses at a licensed child care center (up to $750 per child per year).
